What it does

Text is a free label on the canvas itself, lighter than a panel, with no header and no frame. Double-click it to edit, drag it into place and pull its handles to resize it. Select it and a small toolbar sets its color, size and weight.

Good for

• Titling the areas of a canvas
• Leaving short notes on a layout
