Plans & billing

Compare Free, Pro and Cloud: remote access, linked computers, Dex turns, dictation minutes and monthly or annual billing.

Monthly or yearly billing

The pricing page opens with yearly billing selected. Pro shows $6.58 per month, billed as $79 a year; Cloud shows $23.17 per month, billed as $278 a year. These monthly equivalents are rounded to two decimals. Choose Monthly for charges of $9 or $29 each month. The annual savings are 27% for Pro and 20% for Cloud, rounded to whole percentages. After an eligible free trial, the full selected monthly or annual charge applies unless you cancel before it ends.

The plans

The app on the computer in front of you is free and complete. What a plan buys is reach: opening that computer from somewhere else, and keeping more than one of them.

  • Free: the whole desktop app on one linked computer. The canvas, panels, terminals, the editor, Git, full write access and your own coding agent, with no limit on any of it. On the phone and at app.deska.dev you can see your computers and wake them. Five Dex turns a day and 10 minutes of dictation a month.
  • Deska Pro: $9 a month, or $79 a year. It opens your computers from the phone and the browser: threads, terminals, files, Git, approvals and push notifications. Dex stops counting, every computer you own stays linked, and dictation goes to 500 minutes a month.
  • Deska Cloud: $29 a month, or $278 a year, for everything in Deska Pro plus a computer of ours. It is a dedicated machine, never shared with another customer, and it is there for the hours your laptop is closed and something still has to run.

Sharing a computer is consent, not a plan: anyone can be invited onto yours. Opening it from their own phone is their own Deska Pro, because Pro is per person rather than per machine. Teams that need a dedicated deployment can discuss an Enterprise instance operated by Deska under a custom annual agreement, with its data boundaries and operating responsibilities defined in that agreement. Exact prices and the full comparison live on the pricing page, which is always the source of truth.

The free trial

Both paid plans start free for 3 days, on Deska Pro and on Deska Cloud, monthly or yearly.

You get the whole plan during the trial, not a reduced version of it. A trial that held something back would not tell you anything about the thing you are deciding to buy.

  • A card is required to start, and $0.00 is charged today. Nothing is charged until the free days run out, and the date of that first charge is on your account page from the moment you subscribe.
  • Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Cancelling is one button in the billing portal, from the account page.
  • One trial per account. If you have subscribed before, a new subscription starts paid.
  • On the iPhone the trial is Apple's. Bought in the iPhone app, Deska Pro and Deska Cloud also start with 3 days free, and the App Store charges at the end. One trial per account still holds across both: a trial taken on the web takes the trial off the iPhone, and the reverse.
NoteOn Deska Cloud, the cloud computer is created and torn down with the plan. The trial renews automatically unless you cancel. When the Cloud entitlement ends, the machine and its disk are deleted. Push anything you want to keep before that date; sleeping the machine is different and preserves its disk.

The computer in Deska Cloud

The cloud computer runs the same Deska agent your own machines run, so every surface you already use reaches it the same way: it shows up in your computer list, your phone opens terminals on it, and notifications come from it like any other machine.

It sleeps when nothing is running and nobody is connected, and wakes when you reach for it. Its disk survives sleeping, so it comes back as the same computer with your files where you left them. An agent still working is never interrupted by that: sleeping is decided by whether anything is happening, not by whether anyone is watching.

Your own agents run on it: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, and Antigravity and the GitHub CLI are already installed, and you sign each one in from your phone. The sign-in happens on the machine itself, so your Anthropic, OpenAI and GitHub accounts never pass through us, and what you sign in stays signed in across sleeping and updates.

NoteThe machine is yours alone and it dials out to reach you rather than listening for anyone. We hold the provider account, so we could reach its console in an emergency, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise. There is no management agent on it reading your data.

More than one cloud computer

Deska Cloud includes one machine, and you can pay for more. Each one is a real, separate computer with its own disk and its own agent sign-ins, so a second one is a second $29 a month rather than a bigger version of the first. You can hold up to 5; if you need more than that, write to us.

Add one from the computers menu in the crumb, or from Settings, Deska Cloud. Before anything is charged you are shown what it costs today: the price is prorated from the day you add it to the end of your current period, and from the next invoice onward you are billed the full amount for every machine you hold.

Removing one is the same in reverse. Destroy the machine, from Settings, Deska Cloud on the desktop or from the computer's own actions on your phone, and its slot leaves your subscription, so you stop being billed for it. The unused part of what you already paid becomes a credit on your next invoice rather than a refund. Destroying erases the machine's disk, so anything not pushed is gone; the confirm asks you to type delete before it will act. Your plan itself stays active until you cancel it, and the freed slot lets you create a fresh computer whenever you want one.

NoteYou cannot add a computer during the free trial. A quantity change while a trial is running charges nothing on the day and doubles the first invoice instead, which is a surprise charge on a screen that says $0.00. Your trial gives you what the plan gives you: one computer. The moment it becomes a paid plan, the button is there.

Your coding agent is yours

Deska drives the coding agent already installed on your machine, under your own login:Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, and Antigravity. That runs locally on every plan, free included, and none of it is billed by us. We do not resell tokens, and your work never leaves your computer on its way to a provider.

Dex runs on the same agent, so it has no quota either: it opens your panels, reads them, drives them, and dispatches coding agents for you, as often as you like.

Voice minutes

Speech-to-text and spoken replies are the one thing no local CLI does, so they run on our keys and they are measured. They are sold in minutes: 10 a month on Free, 500 on a paid plan.

  • Dictation into whatever field you have focused draws on the allowance.
  • Spoken replies draw on the same allowance, so there is one number to watch.
  • The allowance refreshes once a month, on the day your plan renews (on Free, the day you created your account), including on yearly billing; unused minutes do not roll over.
NoteYour remaining minutes are visible in the desktop app under Settings, Account, and on your account dashboard. If you run out mid-month, voice pauses until the next reset or an upgrade. Everything else keeps working.

Linked computers

A linked computer is a machine that registers itself as a host you can reach remotely from the phone or the web. On the free plan that is one machine; on a paid plan there is no limit.

Trying to link a second computer on the free plan is refused where the host is registered, with an Upgrade action. Removing a computer with Remove under Computers on your account page frees the slot immediately.

Removing a computer you own counts as a change, and the free plan includes three changes per billing period: a new laptop is never a wall, an endless rotation is. Past the third change the swap is refused with the date the count resets. Removal sticks. The removed desktop turns its own Remote Access off instead of quietly signing back in, and turning it on again relinks the same machine, so your other devices see the computer they already knew rather than a new one.

Reach also covers the other end of the line. On the free plan, one client device (your phone or a web session) can be signed in at a time to see and wake your computers; signing in on a new one offers to sign the previous one out, and the phone shows the same choice as a switch sheet. Opening a computer from a client, and holding several client devices at once, is part of what a paid plan buys.

No provider keys

No plan asks for a provider key, and none sells one. Your coding agent runs on your own CLI login on every plan, free included, and dictation and spoken replies run on the managed allowance. A key stored by an earlier version stays on your computer; see Settings.

NoteSee Agents for how providers and models are chosen.

The affiliate program

Anyone can earn a commission for sending paying customers to Deska. It is 25% of every payment a referral makes, for as long as they keep paying. A click is attributed for 30 days, so someone who reads you today and subscribes next week still counts.

Sign up on the affiliate page, which also has a calculator for what a given number of referrals adds up to. The program runs on Affonso: your link, your dashboard and your payouts live there, and the money moves through Stripe.

NoteReferrals are counted when the account pays, not when it is created. Someone who stays on the free plan owes nobody anything, and the attribution is not spent: the day they add a second computer and subscribe, the commission is still yours.

Upgrading & managing billing

Pick a plan on the pricing page; checkout is handled by Stripe and returns you to your account. From your account page you can see your current plan, your remaining dictation minutes, your computers and signed-in devices, the renewal date and your invoices. If your account installed or published community panels, the page lists them too, and Remove there takes an installed one off your account.

Use Manage billing on the dashboard to open the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment method or cancel at any time.

Bought in the iPhone app? Plans bought on an iPhone are App Store subscriptions, billed by Apple in your currency. Change or cancel them in the iPhone app (Settings, then your plan, then Manage subscription) or in your Apple account's Subscriptions; the account page says your plan is billed through the App Store and links there. Restore purchases on the paywall brings a plan back on a new phone. One account has one bill: while Apple bills your plan the web checkout stays closed, and while Stripe bills it the iPhone does not sell it again. A second Deska Cloud computer is bought on the web, so an App Store plan holds one.

NoteAlready on Basic, Pro or Ultra? You keep your current price for twelve months and gain the new plan, unlimited computers included. Your account page shows both the new plan name and the scale you are still billed at.
