Plans & billing

The app is identical on every plan. What a plan buys is reach: how many of your computers you can link and drive from anywhere.

• Free: the whole product on one linked computer. Full write access, the phone and web companion, notifications, approvals, terminals and your own coding agent. Nothing is read-only. 30 minutes of voice a month.
• Deska Pro: $15 a month, or $144 a year, for unlimited linked computers and 300 minutes of voice a month.
• Deska Cloud: $29 a month, or $278 a year, for everything in Deska Pro plus a computer of ours. It is a dedicated machine, never shared with another customer, and it is there for the hours your laptop is closed and something still has to run.
• Lifetime: one payment of $500 for the same thing, forever. It does not include a cloud computer: a single payment cannot fund a server that runs every month, so a lifetime holder who wants one subscribes to Deska Cloud alongside it.

A computer somebody shares with you does not count against your plan, and they do not need a plan of their own to share it. Teams that want the relay on their own infrastructure have an Enterprise arrangement with custom pricing. Exact prices and the full comparison live on the pricing page, which is always the source of truth.

Both paid plans start free, for 7 days, monthly or yearly. Lifetime has no trial, because it is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription.

You get the whole plan during the trial, not a reduced version of it. A trial that held something back would not tell you anything about the thing you are deciding to buy.

• A card is required to start, and $0.00 is charged today. Nothing is charged until the free days run out, and the date of that first charge is on your account page from the moment you subscribe.
• Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Cancelling is one button in the billing portal, from the account page.
• One trial per account. If you have subscribed before, a new subscription starts paid.

The cloud computer runs the same Deska agent your own machines run, so every surface you already use reaches it the same way: it shows up in your computer list, your phone opens terminals on it, and notifications come from it like any other machine.

It sleeps when nothing is running and nobody is connected, and wakes when you reach for it. Its disk survives sleeping, so it comes back as the same computer with your files where you left them. An agent still working is never interrupted by that: sleeping is decided by whether anything is happening, not by whether anyone is watching.

Your own agents run on it: Claude Code, Codex, opencode and the GitHub CLI are already installed, and you sign each one in from your phone. The sign-in happens on the machine itself, so your Anthropic, OpenAI and GitHub accounts never pass through us, and what you sign in stays signed in across sleeping and updates.

Deska Cloud includes one machine, and you can pay for more. Each one is a real, separate computer with its own disk and its own agent sign-ins, so a second one is a second $29 a month rather than a bigger version of the first. You can hold up to 5; if you need more than that, write to us.

Add one from the computers menu in the crumb, or from Settings, Deska Cloud. Before anything is charged you are shown what it costs today: the price is prorated from the day you add it to the end of your current period, and from the next invoice onward you are billed the full amount for every machine you hold.

Removing one is the same in reverse. Destroy the machine, from Settings, Deska Cloud on the desktop or from the computer's own actions on your phone, and its slot leaves your subscription, so you stop being billed for it. The unused part of what you already paid becomes a credit on your next invoice rather than a refund. Destroying erases the machine's disk, so anything not pushed is gone; the confirm asks you to type delete before it will act. Your plan itself stays active until you cancel it, and the freed slot lets you create a fresh computer whenever you want one.

Deska drives the coding agent already installed on your machine, under your own login: Claude Code, Codex or opencode. That runs locally on every plan, free included, and none of it is billed by us. We do not resell tokens, and your work never leaves your computer on its way to a provider.

Dex runs on the same agent, so it has no quota either: it opens your panels, reads them, drives them, and dispatches coding agents for you, as often as you like.

Speech-to-text and spoken replies are the one thing no local CLI does, so they run on our keys and they are measured. They are sold in minutes: 30 a month on Free, 300 on a paid plan.

• Dictation into whatever field you have focused draws on the allowance.
• Spoken replies draw on the same allowance, so there is one number to watch.
• The allowance refreshes at the start of each billing month; unused minutes do not roll over.

A linked computer is a machine that registers itself as a host you can reach remotely from the phone or the web. On the free plan that is one machine; on a paid plan there is no limit.

Trying to link a second computer on the free plan is refused where the host is registered, with an Upgrade action. Removing a computer from your account dashboard frees the slot immediately.

Removing a computer you own counts as a change, and the free plan includes three changes per billing period: a new laptop is never a wall, an endless rotation is. Past the third change the swap is refused with the date the count resets. Removal sticks. The removed desktop turns its own Remote Access off instead of quietly signing back in, and turning it on again relinks the same machine, so your other devices see the computer they already knew rather than a new one.

Reach also covers the other end of the line. On the free plan, one client device (your phone or a web session) can be connected to your computers at a time; signing in on a new one offers to sign the previous one out, and the phone shows the same choice as a switch sheet. Holding several client devices at once is part of what a paid plan buys.

On any paid plan you can add your own provider keys under Settings → Provider keys in the desktop app. The providers are Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter and Fish Audio (voice). Subscribers keep voice on the managed allowance either way; a stored key changes where the optional extras run, not who answers Dex.

Anyone can earn a commission for sending paying customers to Deska. It is 25% of every payment a referral makes, for as long as they keep paying, and 25% once on a Lifetime license. A click is attributed for 30 days, so someone who reads you today and subscribes next week still counts.

Sign up on the affiliate page, which also has a calculator for what a given number of referrals adds up to. The program runs on Affonso: your link, your dashboard and your payouts live there, and the money moves through Stripe.

Pick a plan on the pricing page; checkout is handled by Stripe and returns you to your account. From your account dashboard you can see your current plan, remaining voice minutes, linked computers, renewal date and invoices.

Use Manage billing on the dashboard to open the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment method or cancel at any time.
