Plans & credits

The desktop app itself is free and fully featured. Plans add managed AI capacity on top:

• Free — the whole app plus a small monthly credit allowance to try the AI features.
• Subscription — billed monthly or yearly, in a few scales that differ mainly by how many credits you get each month and which models you can reach. Higher scales unlock frontier models. Annual billing is discounted.
• Lifetime — a one-time purchase that unlocks everything forever and lets you bring your own API keys (BYOK) instead of spending credits.

Exact prices, credit amounts and per-tier features live on the pricing page, which is always the source of truth.

Every plan that uses managed AI shares a single pool of credits. The same pool covers voice transcription, Ask Deska and the managed coding agent, so you manage one balance rather than juggling separate budgets.

• AI chat and agent work spend credits in proportion to the actual cost of the request — bigger or smarter requests cost more.
• Voice is inexpensive, costing about half a credit per minute of audio.
• The pool refreshes at the start of each month; unused credits do not roll over.

On the Lifetime license you skip credits entirely and use your own provider keys. Add them under Settings → API Keys in the desktop app, and all AI inference runs on your account and your budget. BYOK is exclusive to Lifetime (and internal superuser accounts); Free and subscription plans use managed Deska AI. See Agents for how providers and models are chosen.

Pick a plan on the pricing page; checkout is handled by Stripe and returns you to your account. From your account dashboard you can see your current plan, remaining credits, renewal date and invoices.

Use Manage billing on the dashboard to open the Stripe customer portal, where you can change your plan, update your payment method, or cancel at any time.
