Delete your Deska account

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Deska deletes your account, and the data its servers keep for it, when you ask by email from the address you sign in with. We finish within 30 days and email you when it is done. A deleted account cannot be restored.

Email the deletion request

This opens your mail app with a message to [email protected]. Send it from the email address you sign in to Deska with: that is how we know the account is yours.

Or sign in first, and the message names your account for you.

No mail app? Write to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my Deska account”.

What we delete

From Deska’s servers, we delete:

  • Your account. Your sign-in, email address, name and photo, your profile on deska.dev and your notification settings.
  • Your computers list. The computers, phones and browsers linked to the account, and their sign-ins. People you shared a computer with lose access to it.
  • Deska Cloud computers. Every Deska Cloud computer on the account and its disk, with everything on it: workspaces, files, tasks and threads.
  • Tasks and threads. Deska’s servers hold them only on Deska Cloud computers, so they go with those disks. The relay that connects your devices passes them along without keeping them.
  • Voice. Deska’s servers keep no recordings and no transcripts. Your voice history is kept by the Deska app on your computer.
  • Push tokens. The tokens that let Deska send notifications to your phones.
  • What you shared. The themes and bundles you shared and the community panels you published leave the Marketplace, and the panels you signed in to with Deska are told the account was deleted.
  • Token activity. The daily token counts your computers sent to the account.

What stays

Some data is not on Deska’s servers, or has to be kept:

  • On your computers and phones. Deska and what it keeps on your own devices stay there: workspaces, tasks, threads, voice history and settings. Uninstall Deska and delete its data folder to remove them.
  • Your coding agents. The coding agents you use keep their own accounts with their providers.
  • Billing records. Your subscriptions, purchases and invoices, the email address they were billed to and the usage a bill depends on. Deska, Stripe and Apple keep them as long as tax and accounting law requires, as the privacy policy’s Retention section says.
  • This request. The emails about your request, kept as long as we need them to show it was handled.
  • What panels received. What a community panel’s server received when you signed in to it stays with its author. Ask them to delete it.

Plans and subscriptions

Every plan on the account ends with it.

Paid on deska.dev: you can cancel first with Manage billing on your account page. If it is still active when we delete the account, we cancel it then, so it does not renew.

Paid in the iPhone app: only you can cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it in your Apple subscriptions before you send the request, or Apple keeps charging you.

Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it, as the Terms of Service say.

How long it takes

We delete the account within 30 days of your request and email you when it is done. Until then, write again if you change your mind.

If the request comes from an address that is not on the account, we reply to confirm the account is yours before we delete anything.

Deletion cannot be undone: the account, its computers list and its Deska Cloud disks cannot be restored.
